From Source to Store
Pracheen Khadi Stories is based on craft, culture, and conscious living. At our Raipur boutique, we honor the hands that spin, weave, and shape each piece. We are on a mission to introduce the modern generations to clothes that feel natural and breathable. Without the burden of missing out on trendy fits on the feed.
Our Process
Every Khadi garment begins with cotton sourced from farmers in Vidarbha, a region in Maharashtra, and Kutch, Gujarat. After being hand-picked and carefully cleaned, the fibers are spun on traditional charkhas in Chhattisgarh villages. Each twist is guided by skilled hands without using the machinery bands.
The yarn is dyed with natural colors from local indigo leaves, turmeric, and pomegranate rind, capturing the earth’s hues and scents. On wooden looms, artisans weave slowly, thread by thread.
At the end, the cloth is designed in our boutique, ensuring no waste and a carbon-free process. Every step honors both the land and the artisan, keeping Khadi slow, sustainable, and deeply connected to its origins.
